KNURFT

Electronic music producer KNURFT blends raw industrial hard techno—heavy distorted kicks, hypnotic melodies, and unexpected vocals. The EPK design translates his brand’s contradictions (industrial aggression vs. hypnotic atmosphere, raw energy vs. unexpected wit) directly into visual choices, avoiding decoration for its own sake.

EPK design

Themes

rawness, energy, independence, community, contrast

Four themes drive the system.

Energy is carried by the orange accent — a deliberate departure from the purple and red tones that dominate the hard techno scene — amplified by live photography and the TF Sardistic display face, whose spiked letterforms echo the artist’s signature accessory.

Contrast emerges from the collision between typefaces: TF Sardistic at maximum weight against Barlow Condensed Light and a monospaced data font, creating the same push-pull dynamic as a distorted kick followed by open space.

Rawness comes through in the textured backgrounds, the near-black and grey tonal range, and the deliberate roughness of the monospaced labels — functional, machine-made, undecorated.

Playfulness surfaces in the spiked sunglasses icon system, which carries a subtle absurdity without softening the overall aggression.

The final design was  delivered as a Canva template, allowing the artist to easily update information in the future.

Structurally, it prioritizes scannability for the two primary audiences.

After the cover, page one leads with the press photo and biography for journalists, with direct links to music, media and social channels.

Page two is built for bookers: platform statistics rendered as spike progression bars, contest wins foregrounded as competitive credentials, and contact information immediately visible without scrolling. Nothing requires explanation — the hierarchy does the work.
